Handsome is a bit of a shy guy. He undoubtedly lives up to his name, but for whatever reason, despite his good looks, he seems to lack the confidence needed to go forth and meet someone new. When Handsome feels safe and comfortable, he will warm up to you and purr when you scratch his head. It takes a little bit of time and patience to get to that point though. Being less confident than some of the other cats, and being a black cat, we are hoping he doesn't fade into the background because he would be far too good of a cat to be at the shelter forever.
